2019 marks a complete 35 a long time since Rick Rubin and Russell Simmons initially established Def Jam again in 1984. In celebration, the label is joining forces with PUMA to start an anniversary assortment. About the following calendar year, the pair will roll out an extensive line of goods, and this weekend, they’re kicking it all off with new shoes, embroidered with the original Def Jam logo. “Since hip-hop’s early b-boy times, PUMA has been a staple in the culture – bringing freshness to the basketball court and model to the block occasion. We’re very pleased to celebrate Def Jam’s 35th anniversary in partnership with PUMA,” Def Jam CEO Paul Rosenberg wrote in a press statement. The Clyde Courtroom sneakers will be sold in constrained quantities at ComplexCon in Chicago this Sunday, and then in PUMA outlets starting August 28.
