It is really a shame extra was not produced about the group’s extreme and prosperous shoegaze-meets-noise sound but they are currently back with new product in the form of “Frank,” a tense and atmospheric flavor of darkness that gives the perfect introduction into the band’s function. “I watch Television to drop asleep,” sings Katie Ball over an industrial conquer, later on introducing: “I am never ever in my desires.”
A online video for “Frank” is premiering higher than. Talking to The FADER about the visuals, Ball spelled out: “We considered it would be interesting to use end motion animation to emphasise the damaged rhythms of the song. Each individual character and prop in the video clip and their interactions represents a unique musical or thematic factor of the track to us. We wrote and directed it with each other as a band and collaborated with filmmaker Tim Shearwood who shot and edited it.”
